Under the “how” portion of this training, Jim will demonstrate the steps within Illinois Workforce Development System (IWDS) for recording various WIOA services, discussing the details around connecting the appropriate grant and provider to service, he will discuss what is a same-day-service, and will demonstrate the steps for adding additional episodes when a same-day-service is provided for the same client on a subsequent date. Additionally, for the “when” portion of this training, Jim will discuss the importance of timely recording of the actual services that have been provided to a client. He will include details about the OET Data Lag Policy that provides guidance on maximum timelines on when WIOA services that have been provided must be recorded. Lastly, he will discuss the importance of closing out a service, when the service has been completed.
